A Foundation of Education

My educational journey began at G.R.A Primary School in Birnin Kebbi, where I spent four foundational years (1984-1988) laying the groundwork for my future endeavors. Following this, I briefly attended Model Primary School T/Mafara in 1989 before proceeding to Haliru Abdul Arabic Secondary School in Jega, where I completed my secondary education in 1995. My passion for learning led me to Haliru Binji College of Arts & Science in Sokoto (1996-1997) and eventually to Usman Dan Fodio University, where I earned my LL.B Hons in 2002. I further honed my legal skills at the Nigeria Law School in Abuja (2003-2004) before embarking on a remarkable journey in the legal field.

Navigating the Legal Landscape

My professional journey in law commenced at K. T. Turaki, SAN & Co. in Kano, where I gained valuable experience from 2002 to 2003. I continued to develop my legal expertise as a pupil counsel at Chief Adetunji Fadairo, SAN & Co. in Abeokuta, Ogun State, from 2004 to 2005. Returning to K.T. Turaki, SAN & Co. as a Senior Counsel from 2005 to February 2012, I eventually established my own legal practice, Rilwanu Umar & Co., in March 2012, where I have proudly served as the Principal Partner.
